Implemented a business intelligence analysis reporting system using the Dimensional Insight Suite for New Balance China to allow the company better understanding of their inventory and sales management data Implemented a business intelligence analysis reporting system using the Dimensional Insight Suite for Pacific Basin Shipping Limited, a large multibillion dollar shipping company. The project involved understanding the companies current business processes, eliminating manual, time consuming procedures and tying together data from disparate data sources Provided a technology analysis of a GIS software development company called Informatix in Japan to provide an expert’s opinion on the state of their technology and the potential value of the company to potential buyers. Provided the technical expertise to Activ8 Worldwide Limited to develop a high performance, high availability adserving platform using open source components. Assisted in the design of the software architecture. Designed, configured and managed the hardware infrastructure for the adserving platform for a period of two years. Reviewed the entire network infrastructure for the Port of Tanjung Pelepasdetermine in Malaysia to determine if a recommended infrastructure upgrade was necessary. Concluded that only some minor upgrades were necessary, but substantial reconfiguration of their already existing hardware was necessary, saving the company several million US dollars while improving the performance and security of their network. Started a new company, Naritas, to develop a database driven, Java based profiling technology for use with large information systems. Developed a web based, B2B, multilingual mortgage application system for use in Hong Kong and China using Java servlets, JSP and a database back end. This was done under contract for Systek IT Limited on behalf of the client Advantage Distribution Systems. Designed a calling card system for use in country with a less mature telecommunications market. This involved evaluating several competing systems, designing the network infrastructure and working with the local telecoms provider to ensure interoperability between the networks. Designed, developed, and implemented a 2 Million US Dollar high availability server and network infrastructure required for OnePort Limited. This involved planning budgets, preparing the RFP documents, evaluating vendor tenders with regard to the design specifications, and finally implementing, and overseeing the implementation of the work. Provided outsourced IT management and security services to medium sized companies in Hong Kong without dedicated IT staff. |

Responsible to oversee the entire technology operations, including all software development, database services, network infrastructure, and hardware deployment. The company provided ad serving services to over 400 web sites in Asia, a process assisted by the development of high speed, scalable Java servlets. The service integrated with all of the major ad serving platforms. The service was backed by a dual homed, fully redundant database and network infrastructure designed and built solely to meet the ad serving market requirements. The ad serving technology developed added value in the sale of the company to Engage Inc., which bought the company for sixty-five million US dollars. |

| Worked as a technical advisor for a very high security government project at the ICAC. This role required the review of the technical network, hardware and software architectures to pinpoint any deficiencies in the design. This involved the reviewing of the network capacity, design, migration process, security, as well as investigating the database server application and operating system level security precautions and processes to ensure the system is highly secure. Completed a VPN network design study for James Martin and Company. The proposed design will be used to replace their current network infrastructure with a more cost efficient, fully redundant network. Developed a Java application for Merrill Lynch’s internal company web site that was to be used for load testing of their application servers. Developed, tested and implemented the Business Contingency Plans for Merrill Lynch’s Indian offices. This involved getting detailed knowledge of the company’s core business processes and developing the procedures required to implement the contingencies. Developed the internal web site for ING Barings devoted to the task of organizing the documentation for their Y2K effort. |
